“Grief never ends…but it changes. It’s a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith… It is the price of love.”

At rest on Saturday 3rd July 2021 at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, David aged 59 years of Etruria, the dearly loved and treasured son of Kathleen and Harry, the much loved dad of Michael and Craig, a dearly loved and very special brother of Jane and Lisa, a dearly loved and cherished grandad and great grandad, also, a dear brother-in-law, uncle and nephew.

David was a huge football fan and from the day he was old enough he never missed a game, Stoke through and through. He was fun loving, outgoing and never stopped smiling. He was always up for a laugh, but more than anything he was a man who adored his family. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all his loving family and many friends.

A private funeral service to celebrate David’s life will take place at Carmountside Crematorium on Friday 16th July 2021 at 1:45pm. By the family’s request, bright clothing or Stoke City shirts to be worn. No mourning attire.

A live webcast of the service will be available, for login details please contact the funeral director.

  1. Bro I still can’t believe that you have gone. You were the best big brother who took me under your wing and guided me through life. Stoke City was our thing and from the very first match you took me to we never looked back. I will miss you so much and the hurt I’m feeling will never leave me. Wait for me bro and we will meet again. Love you to the moon and back bro from your heartbroken sister Lisa 💔 xx
