At rest on Wednesday 13th November 2019 at The Royal Stoke University Hospital, after a long illness fought with great courage and dignity, Sid aged 85 years, of Abbey Hulton, a proud member of The North Staffordshire Regiment, ‘C’ Company as a No.1 Bren gunner, the much loved and loving husband of Doreen, a dearly loved and treasured dad of Robert, Gillian and Ian, a loving father in law of Val, Chris and Angela, a much loved and cherished grandad to his 8 grandchildren, and a loving great grandad to his 4 great grand children, also a dear brother, brother in law and uncle. Sid will be sadly missed but remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Funeral service and cremation to take place at Carmountside Crematorium on Tuesday 26th November 2019 at 2pm. Family flowers only please, donations would be preferred in memory of Sid to The Douglas MacMillan Hospice.
