Visiting Your Loved One

Should I visit?

There is no right or wrong way to handle grief, and it is entirely up to you as to whether you decide to visit the deceased. It’s a decision that we are always very happy to talk over with you.

Many experts believe that visiting their loved one can be a helpful element of the grieving process, and in many cultures throughout the world it is a normal part of saying goodbye to those we love.

We do understand that not everyone will want to see their loved one once they have passed away and this is also perfectly natural.

Our Chapel of Rest

If you decide that you would like to visit the deceased, we provide a private remembrance room at our funeral home. The room  has a calm and tranquil atmosphere.

You can personalise the remembrance room with photographs, or perhaps a selection of possessions or keepsakes that remind you of their favourite hobbies or pastimes and you are welcome to spend as much time with your loved one as you would like. We will help to make your visit personal, however you choose to find a way to say goodbye.
