Dorothy aged 103 years, peacefully at rest on Saturday 29th July 2023 at Heyfields Nursing Home, Tittensor, formerly of Newcastle, now reunited with her beloved husband John. The dearly loved mother of Michael, David and Elizabeth, a dear mother-in-law of Teresa, a much loved and treasured granny to Alex, Sylvie and Marian, also a dearly loved and cherished great granny to Bella, Dylan and Osian. Dorothy will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her family and friends.
Dorothy’s family would like to express sincere thanks to all the staff at Heyfields Nursing Home for the exceptional care, support and love they showed to Dorothy and previously to John, as well as to all the family: you have all been amazing.
Requiem Mass to take place at St. Dominic’s RC Church, Margaret Street, Stone: 21st August 2023 at 10:15am
Would friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the church, and (optionally) bring a single flower or a tiny bunch of flowers (e.g. from your garden) to place beside the coffin as you arrive.
You would also be welcome for refreshments afterwards at St.Dominic’s Parish Social Centre. There will then be a private cremation at Bradwell Crematorium.
