“Tears can heal, memories can comfort, love lives on forever.”
Peacefully at rest on Tuesday 2nd March 2021 in the wonderful care of the staff at The Chimes Residential Care Home, Penkhull, Eileen aged 85 years formerly of Stoke, Hartshill, Oakhill and Trent Vale, the dearly loved and amazing mum of Chris, Kevin, Maria, Sharon and Steven, a dear mother in law of Sue, Andy and Charlotte, a much loved and treasured Nan to Jacqui, Mark, Jayne, Fran, Jack, Lee, Lewis, Ty and Oliver. Also a dearly loved and cherished great Nan to James, Grace, Max, Poppy, Albie, Harriett and Noah.
Born in Water Street, Stoke on 20th September 1935, Eileen liked the simple things in life. She loved socialising with her friends enjoying a few games of bingo but her main priority was her children and family. Being a hard worker she had many jobs and would give you her last pound out of her purse. Her strong work ethic even came into action when having a meal in a restaurant on her first holiday abroad. When finishing, she started to clean the plates and cutlery up. Eileen loved her animals having a dog who used to follow her everywhere, also a cat, a ferret, magpie, squirrel, cockatoo and owl, but had to tow the line somewhere and sure did with a wasps nest in the garden, she hated wasps.
Eileen showed love and support to those around her and will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her loving family and many friends.
Due to the current restrictions a private funeral service will take place at St.Peter Ad Vincula, Stoke Minster Church on Tuesday 16th March 2021 at 12 noon prior to interment at Hartshill Cemetery.
