(Aub) Of your charity please pray for the repose of the soul of Aubrey who passed away peacefully at his home in the arms and loving care of his devoted wife on Thursday 3rd February 2022, fortified with the rites of the Holy Church on whose soul sweet Jesus have mercy R.I.P. Aubrey aged 80 years of Newcastle-under-Lyme, former head groundsman of St. Joseph’s College, Trent Vale, the dearly loved and most precious husband of Sue, the much loved and treasured dad of Robert, David and Jonathon, a loving father in law to Liz, Rachel and Kristie, a cherished and amazing grandad to Matthew, Lydia, Caitlin-Rose, Joseph, Oliver and Tilly, a much loved brother of Jeff, also a loving brother in law, uncle and friend to many. Aubrey will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all his loving family and friends. Requiem mass to take place at Our Lady & Saint Werburgh Catholic Church, Clayton on Tuesday 1st March 2022 at 11am prior to interment at Keele Cemetery. Will relatives please accept this intimation and would friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the Church. Family flowers only please. Donations would be preferred in memory of Aubrey to The Alice Charity.

  1. I attended st Joe’s from 1982 onwards when Aub was the grounds man. Aub always produced quality cricket wickets and I was fortunate to play in the same team as former test player Dominic Cork. Many years later we reminisced about that’s where our cricket careers took off and Aub played a part in his care and devotion he showed in his craft down the playing fields. A lovely chap, always cheerful, and quite simply I’m glad I knew him. RIP Aub.

  2. I have such fond memories of Aubrey – he was staple on our games lessons on a Wednesday and the games on a Saturday – an absolute true gent – and what a groundsman!! RIPS AUBS

    • Aubrey was a great friend he was there when I need talk to him Thursday night was mens night it was great Aubrey Keith John T John J he made coffee for us all he was great man who we going miss a lot god bless Aubrey god bless RIP know mate

  3. I’m so sorry that I can’t be at Aub’s funeral tomorrow Sue but wanted to say what a lovely man he was, with a permanent smile on his face and a true pleasure to know. Sending all my love and prayers, Margaret Gallacher & family.
