Peacefully at rest on Thursday 17th June 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family, Liz aged 84 years of Mill Street, Silverdale, the dearly loved and treasured mum of Denise, Marie, Susan, Julie, Joseph, Elizabeth and Donald, a much loved and cherished mother in law, little nana, great nana and aunty.
Liz was kind & funny, gentle, genuine & generous, independent, a little Geordie power house. Fiery & determined, she would be out armed with her trolley come rain or shine. Everyone knew her and she saw the good in everyone. She was a real spade-is-a-spade type of lady. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her loving family and many friends.
A private funeral service to celebrate Liz’s life will take place at Bradwell Crematorium on Monday 5th July 2021 at 12:40pm.

I worked with Dixie on ward one for quite a few years and cherish the memories of this funny and hard working auxiliary nurse. She taught many how to nurse, was a huge part of ward one and always had lots of stories to tell.
