  1. Dad
God saw that he was getting tired,
a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around him and said “come with me.”
With tearful eyes we watched him suffer,
    And saw him fade away,
    Although we loved him dearly,
we could not make him stay.
    A golden heart stopped beating,
    Hardworking hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
    He only takes the best.
    Love and miss you forever
Anne Marie, Gaz, Adam and Olivia xxx

  7. Dear Dad
The pain that I am feeling
    Never seems to go away
I wish I could visit Heaven
    If only for a day
I know that you would hold me
    And whisper in my ear
“Don’t think of me as gone away,
    Because I am always near”
    I know you’re in a better place
where you are at peace and free
To be happy in eternal life
And can still watch over me
Although the door between our worlds
    Is closed and we’re apart
Until the time God opens it
    You’re always in my heart.
    “Until we meet again”
    Love you.

    • As a father in law, you’ve shown me what a family should be and I will always be grateful you welcomed into yours. You are the best husband, father, grandad and friend anyone could ask for.

I know you will always be watching over your family, just in a different way than we had hoped ❤
