“Sad are the hearts that love you, silent the tears that fall.”

Of your charity please pray for the repose of the soul of Jo, who passed away suddenly on Friday 1st May 2020 at The Royal Stoke University Hospital, fortified with the rites of the Holy Church on whose soul sweet Jesus have mercy.

Jo of Hartshill was only 31 years old, the dearly loved and most precious daughter of Debbie and Kevin, loving stepdaughter of Eleri, also a dear sister of Jemma.

Jo had such a laugh that was unique to her, whenever she laughed everyone who heard her laugh, laughed WITH her not AT her and smiled for a long time. She always looked for the good in people even when they had done something wrong, she was always the one who tried to make things better. Her motto was “If I have it is yours if I don’t then you cannot have it”

Jo’s mum Debbie says, ‘Jo had a cat called Fred, they were inseparable from the day I brought him home, they are now reunited, I hope, as he passed away last year aged 19. Jo absolutely loved going to visit her dad Kevin and step mum Eleri in Wales, she use to come home with all sorts of news of how many chickens they now have and how many trees her dad had cut down whilst there, she was always tired when she arrived back and she insisted it was down to all the walking they did with the dog Bob, however she loved it all the same, Jo also loved it when her dad visited Stoke on Trent, they use to go to the cinema together then onto the play rooms, she was particularly good at bowling as she did it overarm instead of under arm!! Jo loved to read, oh boy didn’t she just love to read, Harry Potter, The Twilight Saga and The Shadow Hunters  to name a few, she read them that often we had to buy them all again as the print was fresh!’

Debbie and Jo meant the world to each other, they loved to holiday together and had some amazing and happy expeditions, the memories of which are even more precious now.

Friends say, Jo was a beautiful lady with a big heart, a lovely smile and a cheeky laugh. She was very caring and thoughtful, truly beautiful inside and outside.

She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Due to the current restrictions a private funeral service will take place at Bradwell Crematorium. A memorial service to celebrate Jo’s life will take place later in the year.

Donations in memory of Jo would be gratefully received for The Epilepsy Society via a just giving page – ‘Jo Breed’

Messages of condolence can be left on this website.
