  1. All of us on the Parochial Church Council of St Peter’s, Maer wish to express our sorrow on hearing of Joan’s death. As long as she was able, she was a fixture at Maer Church, usually faithfully playing the organ. For a number of years , she was also an efficent PCC secretary. Maer Church will not be the same without her and she will be much missed. Joan and Ken also ran the Choir for a number of years and many youngsters will remember Friday evening choir practice at their house and the welcome they received there. My daughter , Ruth, remembers the cats! For the last few years, ill health has prevented her from attending Church Worship and we have missed her. It is moving to think that she will back in her beloved church for one last time before she is laid to rest.
We send our condolences to Joan’s family and also to her friends – in particular to Marilyn, who has been such a good and faithful friend.
Joan, may you rest in peace and rise in glory.
All of the Parochial Church Council of Maer.
