  1. Peter was a true gentleman, an excellent tutor and long standing friend. We have been friends through the CIM since the 1980s.
Peter will be sadly missed by his family and many friends from the various societies, where he made valuable contributions.

  2. Dear Mary and all the Mountain family,
I read with sorrow the notice of the passing of Peter on 20 September
Peter was always a larger than life character. I remember him with such fondness and admiration for the his obvious joy in life which went with him at all the times I was in his company
He brought colour and a sense of fun to ‘Table One’ in the Sneyd Arms. He and Bob Beatty were such a great ‘duo’ I feel privileged to have known Peter in that context.
I know Peter also had a serious side and I heard something of his ethical approach to business affairs from my John.
John died in 2010 as you may know. Had he been alive I know he would have been mourning the loss of a great and true friend.
I understand from my own experience how the support of family and friends will be in this time of your sad loss.
I do so hope you are in good health and will nurture and build your spirit to enjoy your life ahead

  5. So very sorry to learn of Peter’s passing. He was a true gentleman and took his health and fitness very seriously, attending the gym several times a week and much enjoying his sauna sessions afterwards. He particularly loved the socialising and banter and had many amusing anecdotes about his time in the RAF and the business world. He was loved and respected by all at Fenton Manor. Our condolences and deep sympathy to Mary and family.

  6. I didn’t know Peter that well but he was an important employer to many students at Keele. Always friendly and a true gentleman. I work as a porter at the hospital and while waiting for his appointment at the shine clinic I recognised Peter found him a chair and we chatted for ten minutes it made my day . He spoke so positively, warmly, a true man at the top of his game and it was only a few months ago. A privilege to have known him and life very well lived I salute you Peter.
