Peacefully at rest on Saturday 3rd January 2026, Wendie, aged 83 years of Audley.

Now reunited with her beloved husband Graham, the dearly loved mum of Richard and Christopher, a dear mother in law to Marie, also a much loved and treasured grandma to Ben. Wendie will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her loving family and friends.

Funeral service to take place at St. James The Great Church, Audley on Thursday 5th February 2026 at 1pm, prior to cremation at Bradwell Crematorium. Would friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the Church.

Peacefully at rest on Wednesday 31st December 2025 at the Royal Stoke University Hospital surrounded by her loving and devoted family, Glenice aged 85 years of Stableford, the dearly loved partner to Ramon, the much loved and treasured mum of Joanne, David and Kevin, a dear mother in law to Sam and Sharon, a loving sister to Sheila, a dearly loved auntie to Tracey and Adrian and grandmother to Jasmine.

Glenice will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her loving family and many friends from the Stone Wheelers Cycling Club.

Arthur Alan Treherne

“Memories are links in a golden chain that bind us until we meet again.”

The obituary notice of Arthur Alan (known as Alan) TREHERNE of Madeley who passed away peacefully on Thursday 4th December 2025 in the presence of loving family in the Belong Care Home in Newcastle-under-Lyme, aged 87. Dearly beloved and loving husband of 63 years to Roberta, much loved and respected father to Fiona and Sue, dear father-in-law to Adrian and Steve, much loved and treasured Grandad to Sam, Jasmine and Isobel, and loving brother to Stuart, brother-in-law to Sherna and uncle to Matthew and Louisa, Alan will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all his family and many friends and colleagues.

Alan was a lecturer in Philosophy and Mathematics at Keele University from 1967 and then Head of Keele’s Computer Science Department from 1988 until his retirement in July 1999. He was a member of Madeley Parish Council for over 20 years, including a period serving as Chairman, and a Council Member of the Antiquarian Horological Society from 1977-2018, being appointed a Fellow of the Society (FAHS) in 2020.

Alan’s funeral service will take place at 2.00pm on Monday 22nd December 2025 at Madeley Methodist Church, Poolside, Madeley, CW3 9DX and will be followed by light refreshments on the Church premises. The family warmly invite anyone wishing to attend to meet at the Church.

Family flowers only please. A donation box will be available at the church and any donations in memory of Alan will be forwarded to the Salvation Army and the Alzheimer’s Society.

Alan’s committal service will take place at 12.00 noon the following day, Tuesday 23rd December 2025, at Bradwell Crematorium.
