Florence Doreen Barnes

“If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart and I’ll stay there forever.”

At rest on Thursday 26th June 2025 at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, in the care of her loving family and the staff on ward 79, after a short illness fought with great courage and dignity, Doreen, aged 91 years of Abbey Hulton.

The much loved and loving wife of the late Sid, a dearly loved and treasured mum of Robert, Gillian and the late Ian, a loving mother in law to Val, Chris and the late Angela, a much loved and cherished nan to her 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, also a dear sister, sister in law and auntie.

Doreen will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her loving family and many friends.

Funeral service and cremation to take place at Carmountside Crematorium on Tuesday 22nd July 2025 at 11.30am. Would all friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the crematorium.

Family flowers only please, donations would be preferred in memory of Doreen to the RSUH Ward 79. A donation box will be available at the crematorium should anyone wish to make a donation on the day.

Beryl Elliott

“May you find comfort in the happy times you shared.”

Peacefully at rest on Wednesday 25th June 2025 at The Hawthorns, St.Quentin’s Residential Care Home, Newcastle, formerly of 15 Hillswood Drive Endon, Beryl, aged 92 years, now reunited with her beloved husband Bert.

Beryl was the dearly loved mum of Nicola, a much loved and cherished granny of Henry, Edward and Caroline, a loving great grandma to Layla, Tadhg and Oscar, also the cherished aunt of Sandra and great-aunt of Neil.

With special thanks to the kind staff at the Hawthorns, especially Dawn and Sarah, and also mum’s wonderful former neighbours in Endon and her lovely carer, Jenny.

Funeral Service and cremation to take place at Carmountside Crematorium on Friday 25th July 2025 at 3.30pm.

Would friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the crematorium.

No flowers or donations are necessary, but if you wish, sheaf type flowers with stems which will be taken to The Hawthorns after the service, or, if preferred, donations in memory of Beryl to the Alzheimer’s Society.

John will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all his loving family and many friends.

It is with great sadness the Kokoruwe family announces the peaceful passing of Brian at his home in Chesterton on Saturday 14th June 2025 aged 59 years.

Brian was the dearly loved and treasured son of Wilson and Juliana Kokoruwe, a much loved and cherished dad, a dearly loved and amazing brother, a dear brother in law, a loving Uncle, a dearly and much loved cousin and a beloved friend to many. Brian will be sadly missed by all his family and many friends.
