At rest on Sunday 6th August/ Monday 7th August 2023 at the Douglas Macmillan Hospice surrounded by all his loving and devoted family, Terry aged 78 years of Clayton. The dearly loved and loving husband of Margaret, the much loved and precious Dad of Melanie and Steven, a dear Father in law of Robert and Mel, a dearly loved and treasured Gaga to Jessica, Shannon, Molly, Sasha and Jude, a loved and cherished Great Gaga to Myles, Arlo and Harrison, a loving Brother of Barbara, Margaret and Alan also a dear Brother in law to John and Amelda.

Terry will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all his loving family and many friends.

Funeral Service to take place at St. Mary’s Parish Church, Knutton on Tuesday 22nd August 2023 at 12.00 noon prior to interment at Keele Cemetery.

Terry loved his football and the family have requested that all mourners attending the service wear a football top or sports top of Port Vale, Everton or England.

Peacefully at rest on Sunday 6th August 2023 at Samuel Hobson House, Wolstanton, Arthur aged 92 years of Werrington, the dearly loved husband of Barbara, a much loved and treasured dad of Carolyn and the late Andrew, a loving father in law of John and Helen also a dearly loved and cherished papa to Madeleine, Philip and Timothy. Arthur will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all his loving family and friends.

Peacefully at rest on Friday 4th August 2023 at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, after a long illness fought with great courage and dignity, Cal aged 88 years of Samuel Hobson House, Wolstanton and formerly of Knutton and Chesterton, now reunited with her beloved husband Jonty, the dearly loved and very special mum of John, Brenda and Des, a dear mother in law of Jayne and Maurice, a much loved and treasured Nan of Gareth, Nathan, Matthew, Ashley and Samantha, also a dearly loved and cherished great nan of Jacob, Sonny, Sam, Isabel, Logan, Brooke, Aubrey, Grace, Cora and Willow.

Cal will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her loving family and friends.

Dorothy Webb

Former teacher at St. Mary’s Primary School, Newcastle

Dorothy aged 103 years, peacefully at rest on Saturday 29th July 2023 at Heyfields Nursing Home, Tittensor, formerly of Newcastle, now reunited with her beloved husband John. The dearly loved mother of Michael, David and Elizabeth, a dear mother-in-law of Teresa, a much loved and treasured granny to Alex, Sylvie and Marian, also a dearly loved and cherished great granny to Bella, Dylan and Osian. Dorothy will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her family and friends.

Dorothy’s family would like to express sincere thanks to all the staff at Heyfields Nursing Home for the exceptional care, support and love they showed to Dorothy and previously to John, as well as to all the family: you have all been amazing.

Requiem Mass to take place at St. Dominic’s RC Church, Margaret Street, Stone: 21st August 2023 at 10:15am

Would friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the church, and (optionally) bring a single flower or a tiny bunch of flowers (e.g. from your garden) to place beside the coffin as you arrive.

You would also be welcome for refreshments afterwards at St.Dominic’s Parish Social Centre. There will then be a private cremation at Bradwell Crematorium.
