Elsie Meacock

“We never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make.”

Peacefully at rest on Saturday 27th August 2022 at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, Elsie aged 90 years of Samuel Hobson House, Wolstanton and formerly of Trent Vale, now reunited with her beloved husband Stan, a loved and treasured mum of Alan, and a much loved mother in law to Pat, a loving step mum to Pamela and Adrian, a dearly loved and cherished nan to Peter & Jo, Diane, Emily & Scott, Sally & Louis, step-nan to Matthew, Heidi and Daniel, a most precious and loving great-nan to Tom, Adam, Harriet and Scarlett and a very dear and much loved auntie to Mick, Sheila and Lynne. Also, much loved by all the staff (her extended family) at Samuel Hobson House.
Elsie will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her loving family and friends.
Funeral service and cremation to take place at Bradwell Crematorium on Friday 9th September 2022 at 10.00am.
Will relatives please accept this intimation and would friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the crematorium.
Elsie’s family have asked that people attending the service wear colourful clothing but also black, if desired, is acceptable.

A beloved husband to Miranda, a loved and treasured Dad of Polly and Verity and a much loved Father in law to Steve and Ian, a loving and cherished grandad of Seth and Beatrice and a friend to those who knew him.

Joyce Barley

“Treasured with a love beyond all feeling, missed with a grief beyond all tears.”

Peacefully at rest on Wednesday 24th August 2022 at her home in the presence and loving care of her family, after a short illness fought with great courage and dignity, Joyce aged 78 years of Clayton, now reunited with her beloved husband Claude. The dearly loved and treasured mum of Tracey, Andrew and the late Simon a dear mother in law of Daren and Zena, a much loved and cherished nan to Jessica, Darrianne and Thomas, a very special great nan to Lola and Ollie, a loving sister to Joan also a dear sister in law to Sylvia and Shirley.
Joyce will will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her loving family and friends.
Funeral service to take place at St. James the Great Church, Clayton on Wednesday 21st September 2022 at 12.20pm prior to cremation at Bradwell Crematorium.

“Little by little we let go of loss… but never of love.”

Peacefully at rest, surrounded by her loving and devoted family, on Tuesday 23rd August 2022 at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, June aged 87 years of Hanford, now reunited with her beloved husband Jimmy, the dearly loved and loving mum of Christine and Margaret, a dear mother in law of George and Paul, a much loved and treasured grandma of James, Liam, Sarah and Natalie, a dearly loved and cherished great grandma to Jackson, Seb, Olivia-Grace, Isla, Frankie and Hallie, also a loving sister to Betty, Irene and Jimmy.
June will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her loving family and friends.

Funeral service to take place at St. Margaret’s Church, Wolstanton on Monday 12th September 2022 at 11.45am, prior to cremation at Bradwell Crematorium.

Martin Mulliner ‘Mugsy’

“Someone so special will never be forgotten.”

Suddenly, on Sunday 14th August 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loving and devoted family, after a short illness fought with great bravery and courage, Martin (Mugsy) aged 63 years of Chesterton, the dearly loved husband and soulmate of Beverley, a much loved and respected dad of Dene, Jamie and the late Bernisa, a loving grandad to George and Amelia-Rose, a cherished son to Tom and the late Ellen and a dear son-in-law to Marj and the late Keith. A treasured brother-in-law of Jac, Cheryl, Diane, Tina also Mat and Simo. A dear brother of Karen, Kevin and Neil and a favourite Uncle Mugs. A respected colleague to the coal miners he worked alongside and a good friend to many. Mugsy will be sadly missed by all and admired for his courage and strength to the end.

Peacefully at rest with dignity, at the Royal Stoke University Hospital on Sunday 7th August 2022, Ann aged 81 years of Audley, now reunited with her beloved husband Derek, the dearly loved and treasured mum of Nigel and the late David, a loving mother in law of Marie and Janet, a much loved and cherished nan of Joe and Craig, Jessica and Matt and Emily and Ry, a very special and loving great nan of Alfie-John, also a dear sister. Ann will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her loving family and friends.
